Celebrating the life of James G. Stilley
Thank you for signing James G. Stilley's Guestbook
Dear Family of Greg Stilley, We knew him as Greg in school, as former classmates. He was quiet, tall, lanky, didn't always stand straight and was a joy to be around. We lost contact after our school years. Just a few years ago, by chance, I found someone that knew where he worked in Goldsboro, Sad to say, we have passed by over a dozen times for years traveling to Raleigh and other places and never knew. My husband and I actually stopped by to see him on a Sunday in 2017. while passing through, but he called in that day to be out and we missed the opportunity. It would have been great to reminisce over old times. Since, that missed opportunity we never heard of Greg's sickness and are deeply saddened. It has been well over 44 years but will always remember his kind qualities. To be honest never remember anything negative about Greg. As we all have changed from those teenage days...my how our appearance has also changed. May Greg rest in peace...Old Friend. Your Former Classmate...Kelvin Meadows and Classmate next grade down and the girl you had a crush on in Junior High... Ann Dudley Meadows of Maysville, NC

Greg, you've told me so many funny stories that truly made my life richer... It's very sad to know I won't be able to hear them told again in the way only you could tell me. When you told me about your brother's gun and the pawn shop, I laughed so hard I lost my breath. I've only done that on three other occasions in my life. Also, your sarcasm was at an elite level that I don't think I've ever seen matched. I'll miss you sir.

Katie, I am so sorry to hear of your Daddy's passing. I have fond memories of working with him at our Churches food booth at the Wayne County Fair. I never saw him without wearing a freshly ironed shirt and neatly tied neck tie, even when he had grill duty. He would, at least, roll up his sleeves, but never took his tie off. That impressed me as a young man. Love, Frankie Sutton

Greg was the nicest car salesman I have ever dealt with. He always remembered his customers by sending Christmas cards or just asking how you were when having a car serviced. His smiling face and genuine caring will be greatly missed.
