​Clyde J. Colvin



Clyde Junior Colvin, 72, passed away Sunday at Wake Medical Center. He was born in Wayne County to the late Ola Mae and Roger Colvin, and was the widower of Connie Dee Colvin. Mr. Colvin was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Huskins officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

Mr. Colvin is survived by a daughter, Shannon Edmonds and husband, Glenn of Clayton; a son, Nelson Colvin and fiancé, Erica Parker of Kenly; a brother, Jimmy Colvin and wife, Faye of SC; two sisters Shirley Smith of Wilmington and Alice Spence and husband, Glennwood of La Grange; a sister in law, Peggy Colvin of GA; and 8 grandchildren, Trevor and Taylor Edmonds, Andrew, Nathan, Riley, Adam, and Dakota Colvin, and Victoria Hawley.

A brother, Roy Colvin and a brother in law, Howard Smith preceded Mr. Colvin in death.
