Myra Ann (King) Stevens

Myra Ann King Stevens 83, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024, at the home of her son Eddie and
daughter-in-law, Mandy Stevens, who were her loving caregivers for the last six months. Born in
Wayne County, NC on June 25,1940, she was the daughter of the late, Janie Clifton Newcomb and Denver King.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Wayne Memorial Park at 2:00 pm under the care of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at Shumate Faulk Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

She was known for her dedicated faith in our Lord Jesus and was always spreading the word with whoever would listen.

Myra was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jimmy E. Stevens, and her brother Donald King of Florida.

She is survived by her son Joseph Louie Villegas of Goldsboro; a daughter, Yolanda Hood of Goldsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Mandy Stevens of Pikeville; grandchildren, Shaun Hood and wife, Alyssa, Jessica Brack and husband, Neil, and Stephanie Rose and husband, Jacob; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Westbrook, Sandra Hill (Billy), Paula Person (Lester), and Mary Gail Boddeker (Hugh).

A special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful care during the last months that helped us to continue to keep her at home with us.
